Hi,
We are facing an issue in reademlfile(). When an email document containing one or more link address is used such as 'Click here: eur01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/' in below image, the output body is returned as empty by the function.
Below shared are the EML document screenshot that was used for processing and expression rule output -

THe plugin contains several bugs to distinct between HTML attachments and HTML as the body and not be able to detect the proper characterset. That is probably of the reason what is happening in your case. We fixed this but we only use it as a private plugin on our cloud instance now and didn't made those fixes public available.

We've been encountering an issue when reading eml files that are in html format. The eml files themselves can be downloaded and viewed in outlook without any formatting issues, but when we use readEmlFile() to extract the body of the email for display on an interface, the HTML doesn't come through properly and we get a lot of randomly broken characters.

Hi,

We are using this plugin to read an email and display the body in an interface. This works fine when the email does not have an attachment, however, when it does, it is displaying the attachment information instead of the email body (what I mean is that the body parameter has the attachment information instead of the email body).

Is anyone else having the same issue? Thank you.

We have upgraded an environment to 25.2 and are getting errors when using this plugin to create an email from a template. Has anyone else had issues with this? Were you able to resolve the issues? Is there another option for creating emails?

The generated EML fails to render certain charsets when the encoding type is Latin1/iso-8859-1. We tried manually updating the email body's charset to utf-8 in Appian PM, still the generated EML file is not rendering the characters as expected. Any suggestions on what we can do to make it work ?

I am adding this plugin via. Admin console in my Appian environment. IT gives the message of successful deployment but plugin is not showing up. Tried it multiple times but the same thing is happening. Any suggestion why is it so.

Hi,

I downloaded the plugin and when I installed it in my appian installation, it gave me this error:

The installed version of Appian is 23.1.425.0.'

Why is it that on the Appian Download page the plugin is compatible with 22.3 + and we have a 23.1.x?

Which version is correct for appian version 23.2? How can I download it?

I'm reading a simple eml file. Tried to use both the readEmlFile function and the corresponding read smart service, but both don't seem to be reading the body of the email.

Hi! I tried to setup the Smart Service, however in the PM it always fails with the error -

An error occurred while creating the note. (APNX-1-4101-005)

In the content.err, analytics.err, channels.err I am getting a lot of 'bad message header' messages which I am assuming belong to this.

How can I make this work? I am passing the following arguments into the smart service:

- Body
- Document name (="message")
- From

- Max Subject Length (unchanged - 65)

- Save Into

- Sent Date (set to now())

- Subject

- To

- Avoid Txt Alternative (tried both true and false)

In the Outputs, I am saving the AC!emlFile into a Document process variable.

Assignment is set to Automated activity - Run as whoever started the process.
