Hi Catalin,

Do you know where can we find the calendar in 18.3 as we do not have /designer any more. Tried checking in suite/admin/page/internationalization but was not able to find all the available calendars in our environment.

I suggest running a few test cases with your custom calendar settings to see what comes back, after DB retrieval, when you use a datetime function that also references your custom calendar.

From the info you've provided, just ensure your calendar uses a timezone of -4:00 as its offset whenever its referenced.

In Appian Run Time Designer go to "System" Tab and from the options given on the Left Select "Process Calendar > Set Working Time". Here you can create a Custom Calendar for the timezone you want your application for. Now using Date/Time functions you can convert the date in the given timezone using the New Calendar you created and then store the Date into the DB. Later on when you fetch the date back from DB i guess you won't face any issues.

You can create custom calendars for each Branch/Office by clicking in Designer interface "New Calendar".

The issue is ,I am calculating date time in EST and inserting into database in a pm. When I retrieve it ,Appian considers the datetime as a GMT value and its subtracting the offset and giving an incorrect value.
I assume that if the application entirely is configured to use the custom calendar which is in EST, the value coming from the database will not have a difference of 4 hours.
Eg:The value inserted in the database: 6/28/2017 3:25 AM EST
The value that comes up when I retrieve the same is 6/27/2017 11:25PM EST

You would have to reference date/time functions (i.e. caladddays) wherever you need Application A to reference your custom calendar. Some date/time functions have an optional parameter where you can supply the name of your custom calendar.
