Hi,

I'm having the same issue on version 19.3. Licenses are fine, antivirus hasn't deleted the bat file, and there is no "-XX:+PrintGCDateStamps" anywhere.

I have had a similar problem installing appian on ubuntu.

I think it's a bug.

In the scripts I have replace -XX:+PrintGCDateStamps that is deprecated with java 10

-Xlog:gc

Did anyone get a resolution for ths one? I have the same issue and am stuck trying to get appian to start uo.

One more check we need to do is,

Check your anti virus software was deleted the file kafka-server-start.bat under the folder <APPIAN_HOME>\services\kafka_2.11-0.10.1.1-appian-3\bin\windows.

harshav , Please check service_manager.log under <APPIAN_HOME>/logs.

Here are the recommendations:

1. Check with version of Java jdk you are using. Follow the version recommended on forum for that appian version.
2. reinstall appian and apply latest hotfix.

I had some similar issues with kafka and was resolved by using the correct java jdk
