Hi Vijayd, are you sure this is possible? I don't think 2 of Rahul's requirements can be implemented/applied on the same user??
I can't get SAML authenticated Users (SSO enabled) to sign in to Appian environment via the native Appian login page.

You need to perform a setup according to your organisation needs. Setup of IDP and SP is required. Go through the documentation I shared it explains the configuration.

Yes we achieve using SAML authentication for internal and external users. Please refer to the below link.
