Hi Sarah, if a user is of type Basic (irrespective of what privileges they have in an application) then he can only manage his own posts.

He can delete those posts which are posted by him(if there are no comments associated with this feed) only.

Whereas if a user is of type System Administrator then he can manage any posts (irrespective of who has posted that)

For best example demonstration, create a basic user , login using that user and post a feed in tempo manually. Now you can find delete option applicable for the post which you have posted.

As per documentation only Users type of System Admins can delete any posts (Events, System Events, Messages). And based on the data retention settings other users can delete news entries and social tasks as long as they authored it and no one else commented on it

Hi Alok, is it only the System Administrator that can delete posts? Because I'm an application admin for all our apps but in Production I do not have System Admin rights. Does this mean I cannot manage comments on the News feed in Prod? Thanks for helping clarify.

It seems we can delete posts under a specific feed after a certain duration from Tempo > News > Delete option under specific post. the comments can't be deleted

I don't think, we have any timeline for the data to be stored in server memory.

It's all depending on the Admin, how long he want to preserve the data. And if I am not wrong, these data will be stored into Primary Data store of Appian.

To be frank, admin will have the privileges to delete the news post

News entries are stored indefinitely. Only admins can delete Tempo Feed Entries. Please see this link for more details: docs.appian.com/.../Deleting_a_Tempo_Feed_Entry.html
