When you see the message, 'The system cannot find the batch label specified - ensureSsPid', double check to see if the search server has actually started or not.

As long as you can see the java process for the search server running, this message can safely be ignored.

you need to have mysql driver under jboss-eap-6.4/modules folder...folder structure under this folder is different based on which type of database you are using. Also this has to be reflected in the standalone.xml file...follow the steps mentioned in forum below:

Thanks. I did do that and the message, The system cannot find the batch label specified - ensureSsP still appears. However the Appian search server is running in a separate command prompt. Then I started the jboss engine and my first Error message was ERROR [org.jboss.as.controller.management-operation] (ServerService Thread Pool -- 29) JBAS014612: Operation ("add") failed - address: ([
("subsystem" => "datasources"),
("jdbc-driver" => "com.mysql.jdbc")
]) - failure description: "JBAS010441: Failed to load module for driver [com.mysql.jdbc]"

Any Idea what this issue may be?

delete the folder appian\search-server\plugins\appian-elasticsearch-auth and try restarting again

Try deleting the elasticsearch plugin folder from the plugins folder inside search server and see if it makes any difference
