For me it was occurring because I didn't have the proper file structure set up. I personally forgot to do Step 2 in the instructions; step 2 is were you create the file structure for jboss. Hope this helps future people.

RE: 'daemon has disappeared'

dear prakash (prakashb0001)

I have encounter the same issue as yours.

I discovered that this usually happens to fresh OS environment.

For Linux, I solved it by installing the Linux default open jdk and jre.

However for Windows, even I am very sure that I did run the .exe installation file and set the JAVA_HOME and PATH correctly, the problem still persist.

Please may I know if you have solved the problem and share with us your solution ?

RE: 'daemon has disappeared'

Yes that's what I'm beginning to suspect. I didn't have any PATH variable defined, so I created one that points to %JAVA_HOME%\bin, but others in the same class as me have many more directory specifications in their PATH variable, so I'm going to try copying someone elses PATH definition. BTW the PATH value "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_162\bin" which is shown in the above debug does correctly point to my java jdk directory.

RE: 'daemon has disappeared'

Did you check Java home setup properly ?
