You can change global notification settings like that in your custom.properties file. There are multiple parameters associated with the news feed so there may be several configurations you will want to put in place depending on what your end users are looking for.

While execution of a process, alerts are automatically sent to process administrators, process model administrators, and system administrators when an error has been encountered .Yes we can control this alerts by process model properties, Under the Alerts tab here you can find multiple options choose suitable for your requirement (use an option to send the alerts to a group) .

In the process model properties, Under the Alerts tab use an option to send the alerts to a group.
