No it does not. Only active users count toward the license limit.

Hi All,

are de-activated user accounts will be counted as part of appian licence cost based on number users?

Eg: if I purchase license cost for 100 users & created 100 users & will be used in production system for sometime.
later point of time, if I deactivate 10 user accounts then will I be allowed to create 10 new user accounts in place of deactivated accounts ?

I have gone through the link provided by Shiva, and they mentioned perUser/Cost. Does the System will restrict if more than the specified users logs in at a time?

Your user license agreement (number of users allowed in your system) and the K license (license file needed to start Appian) are not the same thing. If you have questions on how many users you are licensed to have in your environment you should discuss this with your Account Executive. If it is unclear who to reach out to within Appian, I am sure Support can help you get in touch with the appropriate Account Executive.

From a product architecture standpoint, there is no restriction on the number of users that you can have in the system. If you are trying to design a system with a large number of active users, you will need to do sizing to determine the appropriate hardware and architecture design based on the number of users, concurrent use, and process complexity.

AFAIK there is no limitation on max users in Appian and licence cost depends on number of users.
