Hi All,

Thank you to all that guided me on the issue. I was able to successfully install MySql and MySql workbench. The issue was the current version of MySql 8.X is not compatible, so installed the Version 5.7.X version and it sorted out the issue.

Hi Hemanth,

We can try the below things.

Make sure that the MySQL service is running. If MySQL service is not running, please start the service and try to log in.
We can reset the root password and try to connect with the new password and the username root. Refer this link to know about resetting the root password. https://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/8.0/en/resetting-permissions.html

If you are not able to connect even after trying the above two, please post the snap of the error you are getting.

Hi Prakash,

I wasn't able to go past the installation set up of MySql Workbench. As per the instructions the schema names would be given after the connection is formed.

1) Check the Database(MySQL) is running or not.
2) In <JBOSS_HOME>appian-mysql-ds.xml ,check you have configured the schema(Primary and Secondary) which is exact match with your
database schema
3) check the bellow configuration
conf.suite.SCHEME=http
conf.suite.SERVER_AND_PORT=
