I also got another way. While exporting any application, the META.MF file in Meta.INF folder also has the version mentioned.

Checkout the attached screen shot, if you click on help it will navigate to the documentation, of which version it is using.

I know one way to check this. Go to design or any of the Interface and in grid icon you will get Help option. It will open Appian document for you as per your Appian installed version.
