i am installing 22.1 and also getting the same error message but the 8080 port is available. any other suggestion?

i am very new to linux and Appian.. How to check if other process is using that port?

I suspect that it is using the used port for this operation. Did you try to check the port is already in use by any other application?

Can you please try with changing port from 8080 to something recommended by Appian. Seems like issue is with port only. :
docs.appian.com/.../Port_Usage.html
