From version 18.3 onward, Appian no longer uses a separate application server. Appian now includes a pre-configured version of Tomcat, which takes over the responsibilities that were previously handled by JBoss or WebLogic instances.

I would suggest go through below link.

Release-Notes_server-administrator

Hope, you will get all your answers. Thanks.

RE: Appian 18.3 with Jboss

I would like to confirm whether we can able to connect with Jboss / weblogic other than default by Appian

RE: Appian 18.3 with Jboss

Hi,
May I know the reason why you are specifically looking for JBOss ? In 18.3 Appian is no longer using external applications server like Weblogic or JBoss
