I have faced the same issue on Appian 17.3 and applied the solution provided by Vishnu and it worked.

Hi,
Try below option to see if it works:
The issue might be because of web.xml. Try deleting the same and repeat the steps again for this file. Post this deploy and restart Jboss
Essentially, delete the below lines under the file "<Appian_HOME>/ear/suite.ear/web.war/WEB-INF/web.xml" and then try again

Hi Cali

1. I am accessing the site over HTTP.
2. I am using Jboss application server.
3. I don’ have sreenshot now but it is the same login screen through which users login into appian.While log in with admin user it again showed the same log in screen and nothing happened neither admin gotten any error nor able to log in.

Hi Prateek,
1. Are you accessing the site over HTTP or over HTTPS?
2. What application server are you using?
3. Do you have a screenshot of the screen that showed after you tried to log in with the Admin user?
