The web console is as a web application exists but not used, please access the web console using the following URL AppianServer:8080/.../ and you will notice that nothing under JMX work and no other items actually work.

Out of the box, Appian comes with JMS configurations (Java Messaging Service). For more information about JMS please take a look at forum.appian.com/.../Working_with_the_Java_Messaging_Service.

So why do we still have it in our installation?

JMX is Apache ActiveMQ (Not JBoss) and it was shipped with JBOSS 4.x with Appian 5.x series.
