A group is the object which contains the different user form different categories. eg In google classroom different group categories is teachers, student and the user may be "harsh" as a student and teacher may be "raj" form teacher group.

Hi,

In brief, a group is an Appian object which is collection of users based on their types or roles. Ex: All users, Admins, Editors etc. You can create groups of your own application to assign a group of users the same role. Like sending alerts of errors in process model can be sent to a group which will make it send the alerts to all the users of the group and similarly you can define security roles on groups. A group type is classification of groups. Like, Group type: HR which has groups Senior HR, Junior HR etc.
