Solarwinds tells us it is down. Appian is running without a problem in production.

Stopping Production Service manager during main hours is not an option.

What else can we check on the server without causing downtime?

Is Service Manager performing critical functions during runtime or is it only used to bring the server up?

RE: Appian Service Manger from Services stopped running but Engines are running fine

Refresh your service's console and if that doesnt appear as "running". Service manager MUST be running so I would suggest:

1. Stop the services again

2. Check no processes are lingering (task manager or process explorer)

3. Open CMD and start the components via command line to make sure that all is working fine still. Then try to start the service via services control console.
