Yes Advanced Rich Text Editor falls under a component type plug-in, please get help from your admin/infra/Appian support to check the configuration for custom.properties file. If this config is not proper as per Appian recommendations, you'll end up seeing such error on the Interface editor. Can you please elaborate your issue here, I've faced a similar issue for a component type plug-in usage in an Interface, we found out that the custom.properties config file mappings were not as per Appian recommendation and we got a similar error message on UI.
