it turned out to be the field "Username" and "Password" should be "username" and "password". it is case sensitive.

Yes, Username and Password are the correct credentials fields. forum.appian.com/.../Connectors

Is the target system configured to use basic auth for authentication? What is the contents of local!cmisResult.error?
