I am also a little confused about this because in this other documentation it says there is a default of 3 pairs of execution and analytic engines and a max of 32 pairs of engines. So can each of these engines have a max of 32 shards? docs.appian.com/.../Adding_Execution_and_Analytics_Engines.html

Thanks! The consensus appears to be one engine has 3 shards, and can have up to 32 shards.

Hi Justinb8398 AFAIK one engine can have a minimum of 3 shards to Max of 32 shards, shards basically can be called as container / may be engine as well

Thanks Abhishek! By "we", does that mean one engine has 3 to 32 shards? Is shard just another way of saying engine or does an engine have one to many shards?

Hi justinb8398 My Thought would be yes, we can have a minimum of 3 shards and a max of 32 shards This allows for scalability and data distribution across multiple shards. It cannot be removed once you have added a new shard, as it stores unique data.
