I am trying to understand how the internal messaging service and Kafka Zookeeper work in Appian .I am trying to figure out what impact it would have if Kafka goes down on one of the nodes in a 3 node cluster due to storage issues or some

RE: Impact of Kafka Process down in a 3-Node Cluster

Hi,

We have similar issue in our application.

Including the points mentioned in previous thread, sometimes we used to see failed to start process error in process model.

Is there any way to find the exact reason for Kafka services are going down. Already we verified server memory, application usage, network glitch but we are not able to find the solid answer.

RE: Impact of Kafka Process down in a 3-Node Cluster

Thanks Mathieu

RE: Impact of Kafka Process down in a 3-Node Cluster

I tried asking this question to Chat GPT and the answer seemed to make sense.

If Kafka remains degraded for a prolonged period, you may start seeing:

Failed writes to the data service.

Unresponsive UI components or errors when saving data.

Slowness in records or interfaces that rely on real-time events.
