Hi Ashleym,

You can make use of integer to store only doc id as once you upload document it will give you document object but in DB it will store only doc id

Thanks for clarifying - my assumption above was correct, you want the Integer type.

You can also define your CDT field as Document type if you want; when this connects to the DB it'll just map to an integer anyway. I usually just use integer as the Appian CDT type, though. Having the CDT field type be Document doesn't seem to have much of a benefit, for me at least.

So I'm creating an interface and I'd like for the user to be able to upload a document, however in my CDT I don't know what to list as the field

If you're talking about an Appian Document, you would use Integer, as Appian Doc IDs are an integer behind-the-scenes.
