the related action starts a process model. so the user is returned to the record view after the clicking of the action, the view is not refreshed with the latest write to the database. I was hoping the record sync will resolve this but thinking about this some more, it won't because the write to date store has to complete in order to refresh the record sync cache anyway, right?

I am not sure if there is any other mechanism to keep the record view updated with the latest data.

As the data is still written to DB in process and that takes a few seconds, you still need to chain up to the write-to-datastore node.

As far as I know this won't have much impact on how activity chaining works with respect to how quickly the viewer's data is refreshed when returning from a Related Action. Is the current chaining causing you particular issues?
