I am able to successfully test this datasource through connection properties. This issue is intermittent , so raising it with Appian Support .

"Cannot connect to the database" points towards a network or DB issue ...

Looks like a network issue between your app server and your database. I would suggest contacting Appian support for this type of issue.

This is Oracle DB . We are just experiencing this issue while calling a particular view from expression rules . This rule works some times and some times it fails with above mentioned error . We are still looking on internet for any possible solution .

What kind of database is this? Did you try to ask the internet about these error messages? Could this be a connectivity or network issue?
