+1, also still a heavy user of the deprecated Export CDT to Excel service, as there are no other services that provide anywhere close to the level of functionality of this node. I have probably 50 of these in production today, and will be quite happy to upgrade them as soon as the functionality is available in a fully supported service.

If I were to remove them, I would have a team of unhappy executives who are quite used to receiving their cleanly formatted excel reports.

This is the single exception (currently) to my rule of "never use deprecated functionality".

You can use Custom Cell Positions and Custom Cell Values parameters for the upper part (Id, Status, Created By, etc) in the sheet.

Then, define the cell (for the bottom part) from where the service will start writing data using the 'Starting Cell' parameter.

The official Appian answer to this would likely be that you need to create a specialized View just for the use case of this export, since then you'd (presumably) be able to join data from as many different tables as you want to be included in the export. My qualms with the Export DSE to Excel Node are mostly other issues, fwiw.

so use "Export DSE to Excel", you have to save the data into database table, then export, right? that's really inconvenient as I need to export data which comes from more than one table.

so if that's the case, I have create a new table contains all the data, and save the data into this new table, then export, right?

Appian would not recommend to use deprecated plugins, though it works fine. We had an issue in earlier working deprecated plugin. when it start failing it will be hard to get any support.

The benefit with this is you can make it whatever you want. Add some formatting (other than in the cells data will be inserted into, sadly), like column widths, formatted column headers, and add your A1 / A2 / A3 cell contents (the hardcoded values, where the values in B1/B2/B3 will be filled in by your process). Upload this excel to your system then reference it as the "base template", and you're set.

(This is something they left out when creating the "export DSE to Excel" smart service for some reason, and they have never fixed that issue, despite the fact that it makes the node nearly unusable to me since I *always* want to provide a base template.)

CDT to Excel found in the Excel Tools plug-in can do this (it's marked as deprecated but still works just fine AFAIK)

Export Data Store Entity to Excel will allow you to export without the filter criteria.

The screenshot mentioned in your query is the default behavior of the record type export to excel functionality, which include the filter criteria in the top.

Unfortunately, the "Export Data Store Entity to Excel" smart service does not support customizing the structure of the Excel output file directly. It primarily exports the data as-is from the data store entity.

However, By modifying the underlying view or table to include all the necessary data, you can ensure that the exported Excel file contains the combined information you need.
