You can enable setting 'Prompt Users to Download App' from the Admin Console: https://docs.appian.com/suite/help/20.2/Appian_Administration_Console.html

This setting displays a redirect page that prompts users to open links in the mobile application (if already installed), or to install the application.

No, we tried for a while and didn't seem possible.

Appian also didn't come back with any suggestions or possibilities when we asked.

For this reason we are not using Appian for our mobile app development and instead writing our own native mobile apps.

Did you ever figure this one out? We also need to open up the Appian mobile application from one of our other Android applications.

@enb - I probably would need to check with them, another option is to actually have custom Mobile Application in place. This would need to work for both Android and iOS though.

@Eliot - The link would be to the Site. Abit more context, it is a url to a task which goes down the xpath of Site rather than Tempo.

In general, I would expect the link to open in the app.

Is the link to Tempo or a Site, or is it to a Portal page?
Are you using SSO?

My guess is this would have to happen from the side of the Appian Mobile App developers but might also depend on the mail app being used. At least for Android development, the mail application would need to declare an Implicit Intent when the link is clicked, and the Appian app would need to have registered an IntentFilter in order to handle the opening of the link. Without the IntentFilter, which has to be made by the App developers, Android will not choose Appian to open the link.
