You can play around with lots of Unicode characters that are invisible if you don't want a gray bar. You should be able to do label: " ", if that's the functionality you want. If you want to display the gray bar 8207 is the one that won't render differently in IE or Chrome.

As Carlos Santander mentioned char(8207) works fine in both 17.1 and 17.2. In 17.2 even if you add a space in label it will work and you will have arrow head on left hand side to click to expand and collapse the section.

Bear in mind that as of 17.2 this workaround won't behave correctly as the label is the part you click to collapse or expand the section - there's no + on the right hand side.
