is a way to send a value's address on memory rather than the value it self. That way once you get the address you can manipulate the value

RE: Hi All, Is there any way that we pass a CDT by Reference ?...<p style='display:

Out of curiosity, what are you trying to achieve by passing CDT by reference?

RE: Hi All, Is there any way that we pass a CDT by Reference ?...<p style='display:

Hi Sarat, you can pass a CDT as a reference to a sub process. More information about this can be found here: forum.appian.com/.../Sub-Process_Activity

However, doing so is not a best practice since any custom data types incorporated in a sub-process and mapped as a reference must exactly match the CDTs used in the parent process. Thus, if the CDT is deleted, the Pass as Reference configuration can fail.

RE: Hi All, Is there any way that we pass a CDT by Reference ?...<p style='display:

It is against best practices to pass a CDT byreference in case it changes. You can use the input and outputs variables to pass the CDT when the subprocess begins and ends, and in-between save the CDT to the database and query for the current value when needed.

RE: Hi All, Is there any way that we pass a CDT by Reference ?...<p style='display:

Could you please elaborate a bit on your use case.
