Those links are to version 18.1, which is no longer supported. However, usually the docs links stay the same with later versions, so if you replace the "18.1" with "latest" it usually works:

FYI, this thread is over 3 years old. Appian documentation has evolved (and in some cases moved around) since then.

appian is built using various tools and frameworks such as java spring, for engines they are using kdb+ database with q language from Kx Systems and search-server I think uses elasticsearch....

Are you asking for a specific implementation question or just general curiosity? Appian is constantly evolving to incorporate new functionality in the platform. Understanding the high level architecture is generally more important than getting into the weeds across the breadth of the platform.

Mainly is on java ,along with java it uses web services for integration like web api s also.
