It is always the latest release. So 18.2. When a new release happens, they make updates to the exam as well.

I asked the same question, and I was told "As stated in the exam description, the questions should always be answered for the latest Appian release."

In the exam description: "... The credential will cover concepts introduced in the latest release."

18.2 it is.
Normally the assessment gets upgraded with the new product release.
