I have a requirement to upload multiple documents and i am using file upload component. But in one scenario when i am trying to upload the document with file name similar to "5722996_TestFile8.23.18invoice8540226" the actual file name is not

RE: File Upload Component

krishnaprasadd0001 -
Since you are experincing an issue with standard product functionality that includes inconsistent behavior between environments, I would recommend you open a case with Appian support. The Solutions Engineering team in Support are best suited to assist you with this.

RE: File Upload Component

Hi Robert,

This is issue happend in Prod and we tried to replicate the same issue in dev and test environment with same file name used in Prod but it is uploading as expected.

So before deploying to Prod i want to make sure the issue is fixed.

RE: File Upload Component

Hi,

For testing, I just uploaded a document with name "5722996_TestFile8.23.18invoice8540226" and it saved with same name. As Robert mentioned, remove filenames parameter and test it. Make sure the document you are uploading(ri!document) has same name.

Thanks,
It does not appear that the file name you are using contains any illegal characters according to the Appian documentation:

docs.appian.com/.../File_Upload_Component.html

Illegal characters that are replaced by underscores: \ / " ; : | ? ' < > *

This might be a long shot but I wonder if the filename needs to start with a letter.

RE: File Upload Component

Perhaps you could also try experimenting with the filename itself to see if you can isolate the cause that way. Try a name without the underscore, a shorter name, etc.

RE: File Upload Component

Hi,
I'm not sure this will solve your problem, but since fileNames is an optional parameter, can you try the same code with that omitted?
That should essentially save the name of the file as the name.
Let's see what that does.
