I agree, issue is on Excel side but mystery is why it working on test and Dev but not on Prod.

Thanks for your reply. We are first trying to understand why it is not working on production environment as converting cell to Text working fine in other env. We will consider creating SP as last option.

I feel like this is probably what is going on - something on the Excel side rather than Appian

Hi Simple,

If you have tried everything and you are not left any other options then you can consider this solution.

1. Create a table in the database with the same columns as the excel spreadsheet.

2. Create a stored procedure which loads the excel into a table. You can handle this text to number conversion more efficiently in SQL.

3. Use "Execute Stored Procedure" smart service and pass the excel as input parameter.

4. Query the required data from the table.

This should fix your issue.

Hi Simple,

Everything exported into Excel is considered as text by default. You can verify this by checking column format after exporting.

Thanks for reply. Formatting cell as Number/Accounting is changing the format of data, it is not accepted in my case. I want data in same format.

Hi Simple,

Try to format excel's column as Number or Accounting. Steps to do
1. Select Cell header
2. Select format
3. Choose Number / Accounting.

What happens when you expand the cell width to something longer? I've noticed that certain widths in Excel will cause large numbers to be displayed in scientific notation, but expanding the cell would have it display normally.

1)Try to check whether your Excel filed is in text format or not(Check the formatting of excel for all value that is being given in the file)
2) Try to check the CDT filed (try to receive it in text format)
I have tried to upload a file with the number given by you and it is working fine for me.

It also should work for you.
