Hi Diptis,

Yes, it is possible to update the task name.

Instead of submit the form, place one more button save when user change the milestone value , click on the save button it is redirected into the same form. it will change the task name dynamically.

Did you get any solution for this? I too have similar requirement. I am able to update the variable on the milestone change. Although the task name is not getting updated.

In your process model node for User Input Task, look @ the Task Display Name, click on the "Use Expression Icon" on the right side.

A new window pops, and you can put your Task Display as an expression.

Hi Dipti,
It will work if your expression changes the value. Updated task name will display, only if it is loaded again.
If you are using any pv in your expression, for which value will change only after submission of task, then it (task name) will not change. So, you are the best person to test that what dynamic name you want and whether it reflects dynamically or not? Give a try. Thanks.

But, my question is I am on same task , the task has not completed yet and I want to change the task name

Hi diptis0001,

As Fellow Practitioners said, you can generate the Task name dynamically, when the milestone changes from one stage to other stage.
In General tab, write Task display name as below expression,
=concat(" Test Data ",pv!test.wfNumber)

Yes. we can change the task display name dynamically using expression Editor we can Provide some rules and process variable to change the task display name .

1)Click on Properties of user input task.
2) In general category you can find the task display name . here you can provide any value through expression editor as display name.

Yes Dipti, you can.
Every User Input Task has name and Task Display Name. Name is static but you can use expression editor for "Task Display Name". Here you can write your expression and process variable(s) can be used. Hence it will take dynamic name. Thanks

Yes, you can. Use expression editor and update your pv!value based on your milestone change or write and expression and call it in task display name, whenever you will be updating your milestone at the same time update local!value or expression value as well.
