Hello Riyaz,

Direct access to the business data source using database clients such as MySQL Workbench is now possible for Premier customers on Appian Cloud. See docs for more details: docs.appian.com/.../Enhanced_Data_Pipeline_for_Appian_Cloud.html

This service is intended for enterprise customers who want to pull their data using ETL processes or analytics (BI) tools to generate reports. For security purposes, we require that database traffic is forwarded over VPN tunnels to the Appian Cloud instance to ensure end-to-end encryption between your network and Appian Cloud.

Alternatively, keep in mind that you can access your business data through other ways such as processes, Web UI (phpMyAdmin), and export plug-ins.

Appian only gives PHP Mysql for cloud instances.

Afraid I do not know - I'd presume though that it might have something to do with opening up of access on Appian Cloud to allow external system access direct to the DB. Might be interesting to see what is in the release notes of 18.4 around configuration of this access as that may provide some hints as to why thats not possible now, or alternatively contact Appian Support for a precise answer.

I think that feature is coming as part of the Premier Support offering announced in the 18.4 Webinar - community.appian.com/.../appian-18-4-product-announcement-webinar
