Good catch - it appears that having the rowHeader defined for a specific column turns off "required" validation on that column. For instance I tried switching the "rowHeader" value to 2, and the 2nd column started acting this way instead. This definitely doesn't seem like expected behavior.

I also face same issue. it is very weird but when I remove the "rowHeader: 1" in the code. it is working fine. rowHeader is reperesnts

" Index of the column to be used as the row header. Screen readers will announce the value in each row header when navigating to other cells within that row. Used only for accessibility; produces no visible change." . we have to raise the support ticket for this. why it is working like this

I have not opened a support case. Good idea Mike. The workaround that I used was to create an empty column as the first column and that works. Thanks for your suggestion.

Looks like a potential bug - are you able to open a support case with Appian?
