Thanks Mike, but we don't have direct database connectivity we don't have that option due to some credentials compliance. We are completely loosely coupled.

Have you checked into this Base64 utility plug-in?

It appears that you would be able to use this to take an Appian document and convert it to Base64 - i'm unclear whether it will only work on DB write, but even if so, you could simply query that value from your database again and send it to your external system, within your process.

Can someone help on it, if you have any alternative approach also fine (not alternative to 18.1 & external REST API)
