Yes, I remember that from yesterday, though that's separate. I was suggesting this as a way to not need "keypress" for your "refreshAfter" parameter, since this would allow you to test more easily among other things.

Thanks for the suggestion but that doesn't work. The field won't do anything until the the focus is removed from it

As an aside - from my long-time experience working with retail hardware in the field, I remember now that most barcode scanners have an option to submit a carriage return character following the scan of a barcode. If this is true of the one you're using, I think you might be able to set the refreshAfter parameter back to "unfocus", as Appian supports updating the value of a field when <Enter> is pressed (even if the field hasn't *actually* been unfocused). This might make certain things easier for you, if my theory is right.
