If it has an API, there's a good chance Appian can integrate with it.

Yes, Shell script is on different server. what are Appian capabilities to integrate(Partners software) like a Job Scheduling, Visualization tool

A remote shell script, means you're running a shell script on another server. There are no plugins I am aware that can do ssh.

Probably best to just expose that function as an API and call that API from Appian.

If your installation is on-premise, then yes you should be able to write a smart service to do this - I did this years ago as a POC but no longer have the code unfortunately. If your installation is on Appian Cloud, I don't believe that code will be approved due to security restrictions.
