OOTB a!groupsForUser() function does that.

fn!getGroupsForMemberUser is deprecated now, Is there is any alternate for this function.

Thanks a lot. we are not using any of our implementations. we just want to compare the difference between group associations of some user in two environments.

There is a plugin enabled function called fn!getGroupsForMemberUser that does this.

You should aspire to limit the use of this function as it's expensive to run.
