Thanks for your replay, my process& initiators are in EST time zone only but we are still facing the same problem ( future date) when ever we retrieve the date from the DB even we used this function text(gmt(local(now(),"EST")),"m/d/yyyy")

If this is a process started by a timer, make sure that the timezone of the process is correct. All date&time calculations in a process happen in the process timezone which is either the timezone of the user which started the process, or the user which deployed the model in case of a scheduled process.
