Except in this case, the "validations:" parameter accepts (/expects) an array of text, and such is how various conditional simultaneous validations are accomplished. As far as I've seen, many newer devs seem to miss this fact and end up with a nested if() statement there instead, in such a way that validations will fire off mutually exclusively when they really shouldn't.

Hm ... I have seen too many cases where people put things in curly brackets and ended up with nested lists and errors.

Tangential but is anyone else a tiny bit annoyed that they don't wrap the validation in an array by default? I've found it's useful to use this as a starting point in almost all cases as a general practice, since it makes it a lot easier and intuitive to go ahead and add additional validations if/when needed.
