As far as I'm aware, using Appian's default custom sender will still maintain the environment domain name in the email header to prevent email spoofing. You will need to host your own mail server where you may update/configure host value to match your sender email, which can be a rather difficult procedure, if the email has to appear as though it was sent directly by the email owner.

Hi Sandhya, you would need to ask your IT team not to filter emails coming from Appian then only you will be able to see emails sent by Appian.

Hi ,

I am trying to use the custom sender option to send email . Not getting emails if I use company email and went to IT support team they were telling DMARC compliant. Any body faced this issue.

Hi Ashok,

As far as I know, when you use Appian out of the box custom sender functionally it will still keep the environment domain name in your email Header to handle email spoofing. If the email needs to look like it was sent directly by the email owner, you will need to host your own mail server where you can update/configure host value to match your sender email and which can be a fairly complex process.
