As Mike suggested we can use the pdf functions to read the data from pdf after converting the document to pdf. Attaching link for your reference

There's no "very easy" way, and it depends to a great extent on exactly what data you're trying to extract and what you're trying to do with that data.

The dynamic document generator plug-in (for at least one example, there may be a few) has a smart service called "PDF from Docx" which would create a new PDF from an input DOCX file - frankly that might be the easiest thing to try first, as you'd just need to install that plug-in and try it to see if it works.
