Thanks Cristine, But the PDF form is from FINCEN a Federal Regulatory Agency so i'm not sure if that can be altered, the form will be similar to this and Its contains multiple tabs with validations too. CTR Electronic Form CLEAN.pdf

If you select the form in the smart service and fields are not showing to populate, one alternative is to use https://www.pdfescape.com/windows/ and put fields on the form that will be recognized..

I mention the term Static PDF Form because in LiveCycle there are two different forms Static and Dynamic, only static work with the node.

Basically any Adobe PDF Form is supported. In this particular case it seems they are using LiveCycle Designer, that is fine, that is supported as long as it is a Static PDF Form enabled for saving the filled copy.

Thanks very much Eduardo! I'm curious what format the document would need to be in for it to be compatible with either smart service? I'm going to contact the governmental agency that created the form to see if another version is available, but I'd like to get as much detail about supported formats as possible prior to reaching out. The documentation on Forum for both smart services does not provide much detail. Thanks!

I confirmed this type of form is not supported by the PDF Doc from Template Smart Service. I don't think this works with the Fill PDF either, I ran a quick test and it didn't work.

You can give it a go to see if it works for you. The Fill PDF one requires the field name, when testing I used the internal name and not the display value for the label. Attached you'll find an XML representation of the template that showed me the field names.

Eduardo, I have a similar use case and I'm experiencing the same issue. I'm attaching the document. Please let me know if this document is compatible with the PDF Doc from Template Smart Service. Additionally, do you think the Fill PDF SmartService in the PDF Tools plugin would work for populating this document? Thanks!

Do you know what tool was used to create it? Is it editable from the browser? If it doesn't have sensitive information can you attach it to this thread?

Yes, it is a pdf fillable form(smart pdf). None of the fields are recognized.

Is it a PDF fillable form? Do you see some fields but not all in the smart service?
