If you want to connect a drone to Appian, everything depends on API support. Without it, Appian has nothing to communicate with.

Your ESP32 setup is a solid example of creating that bridge between software and hardware.

This is where solutions like Cisco Wireless and platforms like ORM Systems come in. They provide hardware built for connectivity, scalability, and integration.

Instead of building everything from scratch:

Choose devices with APIs or SDKs

Use middleware if needed

Ensure strong network and security setup

Because it’s not just about controlling the drone, it’s about making the entire system work reliably at scale.

RE: Connect With Hardware Components

Sorry, you shared absolutely zero details about your use case.

A while ago I wanted to control my desk lamp from Appian, so I used an ESP32 microcontroller to create an API I could call from Appian.

So, if you want to find a drone that you can control from Appian, I suggest to find a vendor that provides a well designed API to do so.

RE: Connect With Hardware Components

Can you elaborate it bit more

RE: Connect With Hardware Components

Drone API
