There seems to be a bit of improvement on our larger interfaces, though its difficult to measure. Maybe just upgrade and see if it helps. I have found it is very important to minimize usage of query rules. There have been a few situations where I noticed I was calling a query rule more times than necessary. That can make a big difference.

I do notice this myself as the developer. Although we haven't received this feedback from the users directly, I do think it could stand to be improved a bit. I checked the release notes for 7.6 and it claims that there are significant SAIL performance improvements. We will be installing this new release tonight so I will let you know if I see any improvements tomorrow.
