Yes, that's correct we can use this function in the record's listview and dashboards.

The basic user is neither part of that group nor in its group security. So the issue is due to the group security which we resolved. Thanks for all your suggestions.

It is incompatible with the custom fields but you can use it within your record's listview and dashboards without any issues.
