Is there any way to add a dynamically generated dropdown inside of the Appian navigation bar?
For example, I have a database table filled with a value that I would like to

Then the answer is ... no.

But you could make the site layout show the bar on top, and add your own side-bar with whatever content you want.

RE: Custom Functionality in Navbar

Hi Stefan,

Correct, I mean the section where Appian shows page-groups and pages defined in a site.

Thank you,

With "navbar", do you mean the section where Appian shows page-groups and pages defined in a site?

RE: Custom Functionality in Navbar

No, a dropdown from the Database values cannot be added in the navigation bar would be the simple answer. But have you tried creating a group in the site and adding pages to it? it would look like a drop down.

RE: Custom Functionality in Navbar

Hi Konduru,

The requirement is that I have a database table with name, value pairs.

The name will be what what is displayed in the dropdown, and the value is what will be passed into the interface as a rule input.

I would like to do an a!forEach on the data from the datasubset that is generated when querying that table.

For each record in that datasubset, I would like to create a dropdown entry.

When you click on that entry, I would like the user to be navigated to a page where that value is passed into the page as a rule input.

Here is a screenshot of exactly where I would like this dropdown placed.

Please let me know if I can clarify, thank you!

RE: Custom Functionality in Navbar

Your question is not so clear to understand.
