I assume that's between the user and their browser, very little to do with Appian at that point.

I can do it using webcontentfied. Now the new challenge is to give permissions( camera access and mic access).

No.

The only thing Appian has that's sorta similar is launching a Record Action in a pop-up ("dialog box"), which will go away after the action is over (or after the initial user reaches the end of activity chaining), though I assume this doesn't satisfy your requirement if you're opening an external URL for some reason.

"Any workaround" can be a far stretch. Build a component plugin if you really need to do thing Appian does not support OOTB.

Ya we have a similar useCase, where users need to complete part of process on different application. We have achieved in
Probably you can use https://docs.appian.com/suite/help/24.3/Web_Content_Component.html. Or you can fetch the details using a webApi and get the users to complete the task in Appian itself if possible.
Or when users complete their job on other website, it can trigger a webApi and that can refresh the Appian process instance to let them continue with next steps

We will be running this process in a continuous flow, So here is the thing

We are onboarding a customer with all the details he provides, in between we want the customer to land on a different application or a URL so that he verifies himself or completes the verification process.

once he verifies himself he has to return to the appian process and continues the rest.

I doubt that this is possible to close the window/tab automatically. closest to this can be to trigger an exception flow after certain time so that Process instance can be completed if you are worried about process instance not getting completed.
