We have the package created in our DEV environment but we don't want to keep deploying this into SIT every time we fix an issue, as it's a large package and

RE: Is there a way to create a package from a direct deployment?
Is there any way to create a package from a direct deployment or do I just need to manually create a new package in SIT and manually add all of the objects?
Does not automatically create a package from a direct deployment(You'll need to manually create/maintain the SIT package)

I would recommend, Maintain a dedicated Release Package in DEV that you incrementally update with fixes. Deploy this package to SIT only when changes are validated, then promote the same package to UAT.
For urgent fixes, create small delta packages and merge them into the main release package later.

RE: Is there a way to create a package from a direct deployment?

You initially have to create the package manually; later, you can inspect it via the API or even deploy it..

RE: Is there a way to create a package from a direct deployment?

I just want to know if it's possible to create a package from a direct deployment i.e. include all the packages from a direct deployment package into a new package in SIT.

RE: Is there a way to create a package from a direct deployment?

Generally, we do follow the Patch fixes for each feature instead of deploying entire application until unless it's a initial deployment. Regarding the Package Creation in SIT I didn't fully understand the scenario here whatever the package we deployed from DEV to test it should go to the UAT if it clears the SIT testing.
